To Dorothy Kane, artmaking is problem solving, applying technical information, searching for new solutions and exploring boundaries. The creation of forms intrigues her, with the infinite choices, challenges, combinations, chemistry, and complexities. Metal is her passion. Dorothy is an Art Educator, one of the Founders of The Art Shop, and is currently coordinating the Arts Education program at the HVCA. Retired from teaching art at Lakeland High School, she refuses to quit and continues to teach art in various places in the Huron Valley area.
